Fully Trained Technicians

At Northern Tool Hire, we offer a full repair, service and testing facility on all major tool brands, including Stihl, Black and Decker, Makita, Honda, Bosch and many others. Our experienced and trained technicians use original manufacturers' recommended parts and accessories as required. We provide services for both domestic and professional equipment. There is a small charge for initial inspection, but this charge is wavered if you decide to go ahead with the required work. If you decide not to go ahead the charge will stand.

Almost all petrol- and diesel-powered equipment will require regular servicing to ensure safe, efficient and reliable operation. Many tools, such as lawnmowers, chainsaws and stone cutters will inevitably ingest dust and debris during use. This applies to electric models as well. Even when the filters are cleaned or replaced regularly, additional cleaning and servicing will be required to keep them in top condition. 

We also offer a collection and delivery service for tool and plant repairs. If you are within a reasonable distance of our workshop, we will collect at a time to suit you, and contact you to arrange delivery when the work is complete. We can transport tracked/mobile plant items up to 3 tonnes. Please contact us for full details.
